Here we have another cow, seeing they are so popular I thought it would be fitting to paint another!
My friend Carol said you should name the cow  " Mocha Latte" " with that fluff on the top of his head and the brown in the face.  Well, that is a good name!

DAY 10 of 30 days of painting has been challenging but at the same time keeps me thinking and always creating.  This painting was inspired by a photo I took this summer on my way to Wolf's Neck State Park, Freeport, Maine.   A group of cows were in the pasture and this sweet cow came close for a little visit.  The cow had a look I had to capture on canvas/paper.  Enjoy ~

We were visiting our friends on CampoBello Island, off the cost of Maine and many photos were taken of the course of the visit.  Keeping in mind that the painting marathon was coming up in Sept. " SUMMER SAILING"

We were out boating the river  New Meadows, Maine USA to the ocean and passed this beautiful Schooner .  Snapped a photo and painted this lovely boat.  Sailing at it's best here in Maine along the rocky coast and serene meadows~  Take a minute and relax and enjoy ~

"QUEEN ANNE'S LACE"

MONHEGAN ISLAND, MAINE

It's said that Anne, Queen of Great Britain and her  great grandmother Anne of Denmark,are taken to be the Queen Anne for which the plant is named.  It is so called because the flower resembles lace: the red flower in the center is thought to represent a blood droplet where Queen Anne pricked herself with a needle while making lace.  While visiting the island I walked along a path and came across this beautiful field of Queen Anne's Lace with the visual of ocean and fence, sailboats and a New England home, what a perfect painting it would make.  This is an original painting, watercolor 22x15- hope you enjoy and take time to rest and be in the moment~
