Alcoho Inks/ "The Elusive Pedator"

I keep experimenting with the alcohol inks, it is a difficult medium to work with, the colors you paint are not always the colors that appear on the Yupo paper when you combined a blending solution.  So it's new but I'm getting the hang of it. It spreads so quick you must paint much faster than with watercolors..

DAY 30! 3o days of painitng, Watercolor " Mahi- Mahi"

The mahi-mahi or common dolphinfish^[2] (Coryphaena hippurus) is a surface-dwelling ray-finned fish found in off-shore temperate, tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. Also known widely as dorado, it is one of only two members of the Coryphaenidae family, the other being the pompano dolphinfish.

DAY 29, 30 days of painting / 'BEACHED"

Another a alcohol Ink painting, this whelk shell was beached the day before yesterday.  When you see something this beautiful as an artist it just screams paint me~  It was another challenge for me with the inks but thought I would give it a go.   The colors are so vibrant and this is what I was looking for in the painting.  Can you feel the movement of the water as it forces the shell up tumbling, rolling, swirlling and gliding until it is beached.?     Enjoy!

Day 28, 30 days of painting! Watercolor/ " Rainbow Trout II "

This rainbow trout is a close copy of the other trout but with more detail.  I 'm trying to get a true color  with rich highlights of the trout with new watercolors I ordered.  They have more pigment in the color of the paint, which leaves the painting with a more realistic look.  As a young girl I would watch my father make these flies with bright green and red colors this fly was painted from a memory from my childhood.

Day 27, 30 in 30 days of painting/ Watercolor 5x10 " SAILFISH'

I thought I would put some color into the silver sail fish, it was nice to explore with the blues and purples, you would see this one flying through the air from afar.

DAY 26, 30 in 30 days of Painting/ INKS/ " I "

This painting started out with a dot and gradually flowed into a big beautiful eye.  The colors really make this one stand out.  It was a tedious process but the outcome was acceptable for me as the artist.

DAY 25, 30 in 30 days of painting / Watercolor " American Bald Eagle"

The bald eagle is really not bald but was named for his white head.  He swoops down and grabs with his large talons for his food which is mainly fish.   The North American eagle is also one of the birds that builds the largest nest of all birds and one of largest tree nest ever recorded.
