Watching the loons taking care of their little babies always makes me smile. They are so gentle, and playful. This little chick is squawking and wanting food, but only in good time will the chick be fed, the parents are very cautious and fully aware of their predators lurking. Mother Loon hunts while the Father takes care of the young.
