I love the stillness and calm in the woods in the wintertime, it is so peaceful and tranquil.  The silence is peaceful and calming,  I'm away this week painting in the mts. of Maine and felt this was a great place to capture the beauty it holds for all to see. Enjoy

CATCHING A RIDE ~~~

CATCHING A RIDE ~~  A quiet morning on the lake with Mother Loon and babies heading out from their little nest to learn some life lessons.  This serene painting is a 5X7 watercolor double matted and framed.  This is a series of Loon ,Lake and Mountain paintings.  Maine has much beauty inland as well as coastal while most of my paintings reflect the magical coastline every now and then I will head to the mountains and capture the nature sometimes undiscovered.

I was thinking of fall pictures and thought a covered bridge would make a nice painting. Here is my final outcome. Found it a challenge to get the dimensions on the bridge just right. This is from my minds eye....so I had nothing to reference. Had fun doing it!
